Brave Browser Overview
Brave is a privacy-focused web browser for Windows, macOS, and Linux, built on Chromium by Brave Software — co-founded by Brendan Eich, the creator of JavaScript and a co-founder of Mozilla. Because it shares Chromium's Blink engine, Brave runs Chrome extensions, but it blocks ads and cross-site trackers by default through its built-in Brave Shields, which typically makes pages load faster and use less data. It also offers optional privacy tools such as a built-in Tor private window and independent fingerprinting protection. The full offline installer contains the complete browser and installs without a network connection, which is useful for setting up new machines, deploying a consistent build across an office, or keeping an archived copy for reinstall. The official Brave Browser download is linked on this page, straight from Brave.
