What Opera Browser does
Opera is a Chromium-based browser for Windows, macOS, and Linux. This record pins desktop release 135.0.5973.66 from Opera's public package archive: separate Windows x64 and ARM64 installers, one macOS DMG, and AMD64 DEB and RPM packages. The recorded SHA-256 values are those published beside the corresponding files in Opera's archive; this audit did not inspect code signatures, install the packages, or test first launch.
Opera describes its included VPN as a browser VPN. It is not evidence that traffic from other applications or the entire device is routed through the service, and it should not be treated as an anonymity guarantee. Ad and tracker controls depend on configuration, lists, browser version, extensions, and the site. No independent privacy, performance, or request-reduction result is claimed here.
The pinned packages can be staged without using a moving download redirect, but browser updates, Sync, extensions, web services, and VPN service access require connectivity. Linux DEB and RPM files target different package-management families; neither is a universal Linux package. Mobile store listings are separate products, not desktop installers. Compare this pinned version with Opera's current security release before deployment.
