Zoom Overview
Zoom is a video-conferencing application from Zoom Video Communications for Windows, macOS, and Linux, widely used for online meetings, classes, webinars, and remote collaboration. The desktop client lets you host and join meetings with high-quality video and audio, share your screen or specific applications, and record sessions locally or to the cloud. Collaboration features include in-meeting chat, virtual and blurred backgrounds, reactions, polls, breakout rooms for splitting a large meeting into smaller groups, and co-annotation on shared screens. It integrates with calendars for one-click scheduling and joining, supports phone and team-chat features in its broader platform, and works across desktop and mobile so participants can join from almost any device. Because Zoom is a communication service, hosting or joining meetings requires an internet connection; the download here is the desktop client installer, which you can save and run on any machine.
