Download summary

Foxit PDF Reader is a productivity app for Windows, published by Foxit Software. A direct package URL is recorded below. The host may be the publisher, a release repository, a CDN, or another distribution source documented by the publisher. Some packages still fetch optional components during setup. The recorded publisher site is foxit.com. We do not host or modify installer files.

Sources and identity

External references used to identify the product and publisher. These links do not prove that we installed the package.

Publisher documentation

These references support the package and behavior notes. Documentation checks are separate from the recorded URL-check date and do not represent an installation test.

Choose a package

Check current Reader before using the older pin

For a new workstation, begin with Foxit’s current Reader download page and compare its release notes with this older 2026.1.3 record.

The file remains available, but availability does not make it the newest or approved corporate build. Review the installer’s optional components, associations and update choices during an authorized deployment test.

Match the signing workflow to the document

Use Reader for viewing, annotations and supported form/signing tasks. Establish whether the recipient needs a visible signature mark or a certificate-backed digital signature before preparing a signing workstation.

An inserted mark does not itself establish certificate validation. Paid Editor functions and connected eSign services have separate scope and requirements; no signing or service test is recorded here.

Package guidance is based on the linked documentation, checked 11 September 2026. No installation test is claimed.

Verification scope

A direct package URL is recorded above. We have not independently installed every listed build or confirmed that setup remains fully offline.

We do not host software files. Links may resolve to a publisher domain, its release repository, app store, CDN, or a documented distribution host — confirm the final hostname, publisher signature, version, and architecture before deployment. Recorded URLs last checked 11 September 2026; content last updated 11 September 2026.

What Foxit PDF Reader does

Foxit PDF Reader 2026.1.3.36551 is an older recorded Windows build. Foxit’s version history lists 2026.2.0.39747, released 1 September 2026, as the newer release at this source check. Use the current publisher download page for a new installation unless your deployment specifically requires the recorded x64 file. No publisher checksum is recorded for that file.

Reader covers viewing, annotations, forms, and signing workflows. A typed, drawn, or placed electronic mark is not automatically a certificate-backed digital signature; identity assurance, tamper evidence, audit trail, and legal effect depend on the chosen feature, certificates, service, and jurisdiction. Foxit PDF Editor capabilities are separate and are not implied.

The package filename still contains Prom. Its installer choices, optional offers, scheduled tasks, updater, browser integration, and default-app behavior remain manual-review items. Do not infer their behavior from the filename. The current product includes optional AI, DMS collaboration, eSign, cloud, update, and rights-management functions that can require network access, an account, or a separate service entitlement.

Local PDF reading can be used without a cloud workflow, but PDFs themselves can contain JavaScript, links, attachments, forms, and actions. No package install, signer check, network capture, signing test, or disposable-VM installer review was performed.

Installation notes

Grouped by the package types recorded on this page — not a claim that every listed build was independently tested on every supported platform.

Windows Windows installer (EXE)

  1. 1

Download the recorded file (FoxitPDFReader202613_L10N_Setup_Prom_x64.exe). If it has a digital signature, inspect the signer and validation result in Properties → Digital Signatures. If no signature is present, follow the publisher's documented verification method; a missing signature does not authenticate the file.

  2. 2

Check any Windows warning before proceeding. A SmartScreen reputation warning is not signature verification; stop if the publisher is unexpected or the file is reported as malicious.

  3. 3

Follow the publisher's setup prompts to finish; options vary by release, so review each screen rather than clicking through.
