Microsoft Teams Overview
Microsoft Teams is a collaboration and communication platform for Windows and macOS that combines persistent team chat, online meetings, calling, and file collaboration, with deep integration into Microsoft 365. Teams are organized into channels, and meetings support video, screen sharing, recording, background effects, and live captions, while files shared in a team are backed by SharePoint and OneDrive so people can co-author documents in place. It is widely deployed in organizations as a hub for teamwork and is also available in free and personal versions. The desktop app installs the client and works on a machine without an internet connection during setup, though using Teams requires connectivity. Guest access lets you collaborate with people outside your organization within the same channels. You can reach the official Microsoft Teams download from Microsoft via the link on this page.
