Capo Overview
Capo is an application for macOS and iOS from SuperMegaUltraGroovy that helps musicians learn songs by ear directly from their own audio files. Instead of hunting for tabs online, you load a song and Capo helps you work out how to play it. Its core strength is letting you slow down music without changing its pitch, so fast or intricate passages become easy to follow and practice at any tempo, and you can loop tricky sections to repeat them until they are learned. Capo analyzes the audio and detects chords automatically, displaying them above a visual spectrogram of the song so you can see the notes, and it lets you build up a chart of the chords and add your own notes and markers. You can adjust pitch for transposing or to match an instrument's tuning, and isolate or reduce parts of the audio to focus on what you need to hear.
