VMware Fusion Overview
VMware Fusion is a desktop virtualization application for macOS from VMware (now part of Broadcom) that lets Mac users run Windows, Linux, and other operating systems as virtual machines alongside macOS. Instead of dual-booting, you can launch a full Windows desktop in a window or run Windows applications more seamlessly next to your Mac apps, which is useful for software that is not available natively on macOS. Fusion supports a wide range of guest operating systems, virtual hardware with multiple processors and substantial memory, snapshots for saving and restoring a machine's state, and shared folders and clipboard between macOS and the guest. It works on both Intel and Apple-silicon Macs, with support for running compatible Arm-based guest systems on Apple silicon. VMware has made Fusion free for personal use, with commercial licensing for business. This page links to the official VMware Fusion download.
