Vivaldi Browser Overview
Vivaldi is a highly customizable web browser for Windows, macOS, and Linux, built on Chromium by a team led by Jon von Tetzchner, a co-founder and former CEO of Opera. It targets power users with features most browsers leave out: tab stacking and tiling, a side panel with web panels, built-in notes, a feed reader, and an email client, plus extensive keyboard shortcuts, mouse gestures, and theming. Because it is Chromium-based it runs Chrome extensions, while Vivaldi adds its own tracker and ad blocker. The full offline installer contains the complete browser and installs with no internet connection, which suits new-machine setup, consistent rollouts, or archiving a known-good version.
