Viber Desktop Overview
Viber (Rakuten Viber) is a free messaging and calling app, and its desktop client for Windows and macOS syncs with your phone account. It offers one-on-one and group text messaging, voice and video calls, and file and media sharing, with end-to-end encryption on calls and chats by default. Additional features include communities and channels for larger audiences, stickers, and Viber Out for calling regular phone numbers at a cost. The desktop app mirrors your mobile account so conversations stay in sync across devices. The desktop client installs without an internet connection during setup, though messaging requires connectivity. Disappearing messages, message editing, and deleting a sent message for everyone give you more control over conversations, and desktop notifications keep you updated while you work on other things.
