ProtoPie Overview
ProtoPie is a high-fidelity prototyping tool from ProtoPie Inc. for designing realistic, interactive prototypes of apps and digital products without writing code, with apps for Windows and macOS. It stands out for letting designers create sophisticated interactions using a model of triggers, responses, and conditions: you specify what should happen (a response) when something occurs (a trigger), optionally based on conditions and variables, which makes it possible to prototype complex, app-like behavior such as state changes, form logic, and data-driven screens. ProtoPie can also use the sensors and inputs of real devices, like tilt, sound, and touch, and supports communication between multiple devices for prototyping connected experiences. Designs can be imported from popular design tools, and prototypes are easily shared and tested on phones and tablets. It is freemium, with a free tier and paid plans for teams and advanced features.
