PSPad Overview
PSPad is a free text and source-code editor for Windows, developed by Jan Fiala, designed to be a capable everyday editor for programmers, web developers, and anyone who works with plain text. It opens many files at once in a tabbed interface and includes syntax highlighting for a wide range of programming and markup languages, along with code folding, a hex editor, and a built-in file comparison tool. Useful conveniences include a macro recorder, a spell checker, customizable templates and code snippets, conversion between character sets and line endings, and an integrated FTP client so you can edit files directly on a server. It can also call external compilers and tools, making it handy as a lightweight programming environment. PSPad runs without complicated setup and is free for both personal and commercial use. The full offline installer holds the complete application, so it sets up on a machine with no internet connection. This page links to the official PSPad download.
