Notepad3 Overview
Notepad3 is a free, open-source lightweight text editor for Windows, a feature-enhanced successor inspired by Notepad2 that improves on it while keeping a small, fast footprint. Built on a modern Scintilla engine, it offers syntax highlighting for many languages, line numbers, code folding, bracket matching, advanced regular-expression search and replace, multiple-edit (multi-selection) support, encoding conversion, and configurable color schemes. It positions itself as a capable yet lightweight alternative to heavier editors for everyday text and code editing. The full offline installer (and a portable build) installs without an internet connection.
