Hugin Overview
Hugin is a free, open-source panorama photo stitcher for Windows, macOS, and Linux, maintained by the Hugin community. It takes a set of overlapping photographs and assembles them into a single seamless wide-angle or 360-degree panorama. The program detects or lets you place control points that match the same feature across overlapping images, then optimizes the alignment, corrects lens distortion and vignetting, and blends the photos together so the seams disappear. It supports many projection types for everything from simple flat panoramas to full spherical images, and it can produce very high-resolution results by combining many frames. Beyond panoramas, it is useful for stitching scanned documents, creating high-dynamic-range merges, and correcting perspective. While powerful, it offers an assistant mode that walks through the basic stitch in a few steps, alongside advanced controls for those who want them. The full offline installer holds the complete application, so it sets up on a machine with no internet connection. This page links to the official Hugin download.
