Google Chrome Beta Overview
Google Chrome Beta is the pre-release channel of Google Chrome, giving a preview of features and changes about a month before they reach the stable release. It is built on the same Chromium foundation with the Blink engine and V8, and is meant for users, web developers, and IT teams who want to test upcoming changes against their sites and workflows before a stable rollout. Because it is a testing channel it can be less stable than release Chrome, and it installs separately so it can run alongside stable Chrome. Chrome is developed across four channels — Stable, Beta, Dev, and Canary — and Beta sits one step ahead of Stable, which makes it the safest way to preview what is coming next without the rougher edges of the Dev or Canary builds. The full offline installer is useful for staging Beta on test machines. This page links to Google's official Chrome Beta download.
