Adobe After Effects Overview
Adobe After Effects is the industry-standard application for motion graphics, visual effects, and compositing, from Adobe, for Windows and macOS. It is used across film, television, advertising, and online video to create animated titles and graphics, composite layers of footage and elements together, add visual effects, and produce everything from simple animated logos to complex cinematic sequences. Working with a layer- and keyframe-based timeline, artists animate properties over time, apply a vast range of built-in effects, use masks and rotoscoping to isolate parts of an image, and combine 2D and 3D layers. After Effects includes powerful tools such as motion tracking and stabilization, expressions for procedural animation, shape layers, and a deep ecosystem of third-party plugins, and it integrates closely with other Adobe applications like Premiere Pro and Photoshop. It is part of Adobe Creative Cloud and is offered through a paid subscription, with a free trial. This page links to the official After Effects download.
