Firefox Developer Edition Overview
Firefox Developer Edition is a version of Mozilla Firefox built for web developers, based on the Beta channel so it previews features ahead of the stable release. It ships with developer-focused defaults and tools enabled out of the box — an advanced inspector, a powerful CSS grid and flexbox inspector, a JavaScript debugger, and tooling for testing across browsers — along with a distinct theme so it can run side by side with regular Firefox. It uses the Gecko engine and supports standard Firefox extensions. It also includes Responsive Design Mode for testing layouts at different screen sizes, a built-in screenshot tool, and a dark developer theme by default, and it lets you experiment with settings that are off by default in stable Firefox. The full offline installer is convenient for setting up developer workstations consistently. The link on this page goes to Mozilla's official Firefox Developer Edition download.
