Aurora HDR Overview
Aurora HDR is a high-dynamic-range photo application for Windows and macOS from Skylum, designed to merge several bracketed exposures of the same scene into a single image with detail in both shadows and highlights. It combines automatic exposure merging with tone-mapping controls, layers, masking, and a library of presets and looks, plus AI-assisted adjustments intended to produce natural or dramatic HDR results with less manual tuning. It can also enhance single images with HDR-style processing. Skylum has since centered its photo lineup on Luminar, so check the vendor's current catalog for availability. It works as a standalone application and as a plug-in for other photo editors, and its layer-based workflow lets you blend effects selectively.
