WinDirStat Overview
WinDirStat is a free, open-source disk-usage analyzer and cleanup tool for Windows that helps you understand what is taking up space on a drive. After scanning, it presents the results three ways at once: a directory list sorted by size, a list of file types, and a colorful 'treemap' where each file is a rectangle sized by how much space it uses, so large files and folders stand out visually. You can act on items directly, such as opening or deleting them, which makes it useful for reclaiming space. It is a long-standing favorite for cleaning up full drives.
