Unity Overview
Unity is one of the world's most widely used game engines, from Unity Technologies, with an editor for Windows and macOS. It is a complete environment for creating interactive 2D and 3D content, used for everything from indie and mobile games to large studio titles, as well as visualization, simulation, and augmented and virtual reality. Developers build scenes from objects and components, write game logic in C#, and rely on a rich set of built-in systems for graphics, physics, animation, audio, particles, and UI. A major strength is its reach: a project can be exported to a very large number of platforms, including desktop, mobile, web, consoles, and XR devices, from a single codebase. The Unity Asset Store provides a huge marketplace of art, tools, and plugins that speed up development. Unity offers a free Personal tier for individuals and smaller creators, with paid plans for larger studios. This page links to the official Unity download.
