SquadCast Overview
SquadCast is a remote recording platform for Windows and macOS (and web) for capturing studio-quality podcast and video conversations with remote guests. Like other local-recording tools, it records each participant's audio (and video) locally to protect quality from connection problems, then makes the high-quality files available afterward, with separate tracks per participant for easier editing. It focuses on reliability and ease of use for podcasters, supports progressive uploading so recordings are safe even if something interrupts a session, and integrates with editing and distribution tools. It is now part of Descript. It uses a freemium/subscription model. It supports a green room for guests before recording and Dolby-powered audio enhancement to polish the final sound.
