Microsoft Publisher Overview
Microsoft Publisher is a desktop-publishing application for Windows, part of some Microsoft Office editions, used to create page-layout-focused documents such as flyers, brochures, newsletters, greeting cards, business cards, and calendars. Unlike Word, it gives precise control over the placement of text and graphics on a page using a frame-based layout, with templates, alignment tools, and print-oriented features that make designing simple marketing and personal materials approachable for non-designers. It supports mail merge for personalized mailings and export to PDF. Note that Microsoft has announced Publisher is being retired, with its capabilities moving to other Microsoft apps, so check the current status. It is part of paid Office editions, installed via Microsoft's installer. The official Microsoft Publisher download is linked on this page, straight from Microsoft Corporation.
