KeePassXC Overview
KeePassXC is a free, open-source password manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux that keeps your credentials in a single encrypted database stored on your own device rather than in the cloud. The database is protected by a master password (and optionally a key file or hardware key), and encrypted with strong algorithms, so only you can unlock it. It generates strong unique passwords, organizes entries into groups, stores notes and attachments, supports TOTP two-factor codes, and offers browser integration through an extension plus auto-type to fill logins. Because the database is a local file, you control where it lives and how it is backed up. The complete installer means KeePassXC sets up without fetching anything online during installation.
