Clapper Overview
Clapper is a free, open-source media player with a clean, modern interface, developed by Rafostar and built on the GStreamer multimedia framework. It is designed around simplicity and touch-friendly, gesture-based controls: a minimal, uncluttered window puts the focus on the video, while gestures and a streamlined control bar handle seeking, volume, and playback. Clapper supports a wide range of audio and video formats through GStreamer, uses hardware acceleration for smooth playback where available, and includes playlist support so you can queue multiple files. Its design language follows modern GNOME styling, giving it a polished, contemporary feel compared with older, denser players. Versions are available for Windows and macOS. The full offline installer holds the complete application, so it sets up on a machine with no internet connection. This page links to the official Clapper download.
